Committee came up with a very viable plan. He felt there is a need
for space. He indicated that it will not be a major problem next
year, but the following year it will be a very major problem. He
felt that the plan deserved their support and that the Selectmen
should NOT change the date. He MOTIONED to the Board not to alter
its stance and have the special town meeting on March 16th, 1992,
and hold the debt exclusion election until the regular May town
election. Judy Mills seconded the motion and all were in favor,
except Nancy Caffyn, who opposed.
The Finance Committee then exited the Board of Selectmen's meeting
and continued their discussion.
Tony Gallo indicated that the agenda for Wednesday Night, February
19th, was budgeting the Department of Public Works, Board of Health
and Building Inspectors. Al Polsi is the liaison for these
departments and would make his recommendations. Members also
agreed to discuss Kevin Harrington's budget at that time.
The meeting adjourned at 9:40 P.M.
Minutes submitted by Jean M. Mooney, Recording Secretary
