MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> FEBRUARY 9, 1994 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7:OOPM <br /> Members Present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Deirdre Greelish; John <br /> Ferriday; Denise Sullivan and Marcia King. Tony Gallo and Roger <br /> Dunivan were unable to attend. <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting was for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. The tape will be reused <br /> once the Minutes are approved. <br /> Deirdre Greelish MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of February 2, 1994 <br /> as written. Marcia King Seconded the Motion and members voted in <br /> approval of the Minutes 4-0, Denise Sullivan abstaining. <br /> Deirdre Greelish MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of January 19 , 1994 <br /> as written. John Ferriday seconded the Motion and members voted in <br /> approval of the Minutes 4-0, Marcia King abstaining. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> John Ferriday mentioned to the Committee that he had a chance to <br /> r speak to Mr. Long, Director Council on Aging, and he informed Mr. <br /> Ferriday that an organization in Orleans has supposedly funded the <br /> department some money so that they may replace the dishwasher and <br /> refrigerator previously requested. <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that he would speak to Jane LaBute in regard <br /> to the status of her Department's budget and what is left in the <br /> account. <br /> The Finance Committee received a revised budget from the Personnel <br /> Department. They also received two Articles being proposed by the <br /> Personnel Board. The first is to reclassify the position of the <br /> Assistant Accountant, Grade 10 (Step 5) to Grade 12 (Step 3) , with <br /> said upgrade to be effective July 1, 1994 and to appropriate or <br /> transfer a sum of money to be allocated to the Town Accountant <br /> Salary Account. The second is to reclassify the position of <br /> Administrative Assistant - Board of Selectmen, Grade 10 (Step 5) , <br /> to Grade ??? (not on sheet) , classified under the PAP to be <br /> effective July 1, 1994 and to raise and appropriate a sum of money <br /> to be allocated into the Board of Selectmen's Salary/Wage Account. <br /> The Committee did not discuss these requests at that time. Mr. <br /> Goggin suggested meeting with the Personnel Board again. <br /> BUDGETING <br /> The Committee discussed difficulty in preparing their budget <br /> recommendations, due to the calculation of salary requests. The <br /> requests were all coming out differently. Department Heads <br />
