The Committee will <br /> finalize it next meeting. <br /> The Committee reviewed the Budget worksheet that Deirdre Greelish <br /> had prepared. They asked her to add the prior year's revenues to <br /> the worksheet for comparison. Ms. sullivan asked why their budgets <br /> were different from the Town Accountant's budget to start? Mr. <br /> Goggin answered that Ms. Rommelmeyer was including capital in hers. <br /> The Finance Committee did not. Ms. Greelish asked Mr. Goggin to <br /> check on temporary bonding. He indicated that he would. <br /> Mr. Ferriday explained to the Committee that he had done some <br /> homework and took the 16 initiatives of the Selectmen and <br /> prioritized them. He only kept the initiatives that he felt <br /> improved the economic position for the town. The first was to <br /> support #10 supporting Economic Development projects; #12 funding <br /> document preparation in support of major projects; #9 funding for <br /> interpretive nature trails and tours; #6 conservation projects; #8 <br /> funding bikeway projects; #5 funding professional development and <br /> training and #2 upgrading tools for town employees. He explained <br /> that this left 7 things that he felt were not important at this <br /> time. Mr. Goggin commented that all the Finance Committee members <br /> should do this exact thing for the next meeting. <br /> • The Committee also agreed to publish their budget worksheet leaving <br /> the School Department as level funded rather than at $0 .00 . They <br /> felt that it would be helpful for the town to see that there was a <br /> shortfall of $500,000 right at the get go. <br /> The Committee also discussed the fact the Mr. Martini is still <br /> being paid by the Police Department for work that is being <br /> contracted out. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 9:OOPM. The next meeting will be held on <br /> Wednesday, January 19 , 1994 at 7:OOPM. The Personnel Board will be <br /> in attendance. The Minutes were submitted by Jean M.
