VDWN OF MASHPEE L <br /> PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> Minutes of Meeting, June 9, 1975 <br /> 7:30 p.m. <br /> PRESENTS R.A. Graham, W.S.Clendenin, J. Malone, R. Maxim, C. Brown <br /> A letter will be written to Detective George Costa <br /> requesting him to contact Chief Bingham and/or the Board of <br /> Selectmen concerning a position. This decision was made in <br /> light of the medical evidence, in the form of letters Detective <br /> Costa has presented to the Board, indicating that he would be <br /> able to be employed by the Police Department on a limited non- <br /> traumatic basis. <br /> A letter will be sent to Chief Bingham to this effect, and <br /> stating that Detective Costa should return no later than June 23, <br /> 1975; also, that the Personnel Board will arrange a neurological <br /> examination upon his return, to evaluate Detective Costa's <br /> condition. <br /> Barbara Pocknett, Town Accountant, and Florence Lucas, <br /> Treasurer, were present to discuss implementing the 5% cost of <br /> living increase for all town employees, effective July 1, 1975• <br /> 9 19�n /Aal � <br /> will discuss with Philip DiIorio, Board of <br /> Health, the current employment status of Daryll Sharpe. <br /> A letter will be sent to Selectmen statim that according to <br /> . our records Doris Hendricks, (former Secretary/Dispatcher for <br /> Police Department) was entitled to 9 1/2 days vacation as of <br /> her retirement date, 5/30/75• <br /> George Green, Highway Surveyor, was present to discuss <br /> merit increases for his department. A letter will be sent <br /> to him before June 20, 1975 stating the corrected figures. <br /> Regarding Raymond Martini, temporary employee in the High- <br /> way Department, a letter will be sent to Mr. Green (cc's to <br /> Selectmen, Florence Lucas, and Mr. Martini) stating that Mr. <br /> Martini's position, which was authorized November 21, 1973, <br /> must terminate. All fringe benefits will cease effective <br /> July 1, 1975• Further employment of Mr. Martini shall be <br /> subject to assignment approved by the Board of Selectmen for <br /> special projects. The Board feels that if furnished with the <br /> following information, it could make a determination for any <br /> additional man-power requirements: 1) Projects to be under- <br /> taken 2) Man hours required to complete above projects, and <br /> 3) Man hours available with current work force. <br /> Having no further business the meeting was adjourned. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> • <br /> jsa <br />
