<br /> Mr. John Peters, Jr. attended� the'meetingyforithe purpose)of being intro-
<br /> duced to the Board members`, The function and current issues of thetPersonnel "Board
<br /> were explained to, him. The Board voted'to" recommend to ''the 'Boardio£�Selectmen y
<br /> that Mr. Peters be appointed to the Personnel Board.

<br /> Regarding the police contract negotiationsb, ~Mr.^ Clendenin will meet this week
<br /> with Attorney Kowal, who in turn will meet with Attorney Zisson. Subsequently a
<br /> date will be set for a meeting with the Attorneys and the Mashpee Police Association.;
<br /> A letter dated May 24, 1976 ,from'they,Board -of Selectmen advising of the
<br /> '- . appointment of Mrs. Ruth.Crowley .as. permanent part-time secretary to ,the Indian
<br /> Museum was read. A discussion followed regarding this appointment and it;was
<br /> determined that although the Personnel Board did• not take affirmative action re-commending her appointment, the Board concurs with it. The Personnel Board had
<br /> at the time of interviews, found Mrs."Crowley to be highly .qualified; however, Mr.T
<br /> Brown stated he- felt this type of appointment ,should be discussed with the entire
<br /> Personnel Board; that a `formal`letter should first be sent to,Selectmen, with the �.
<br /> Personnel Board's recommendations. He also.,pointed out .that anotherapplicant,
<br /> interviewed on May 17, 1976 was also qualified'and'<could have been recommended. M
<br /> There was. discussion of a letter date•d1May'26, 'l976 from Chief Bingham"to
<br /> the &rsonnel Board and Treasurer, regarding fringe benefits for Special Police Officers
<br /> under Paragraph 5, Section E of the SAP. A letter.-Will be. sent to Chief Bingham
<br /> stating that fringe benefits have only accrued to regular permanent employees of
<br /> the Town whose position has been specifically approved by AnnualTownMeeting vote,' ,
<br /> and who work twenty hours or more per week. .
<br />, . The applications for, Curator, of the Indian Museum were reviewed. Interviews
<br /> for this position will be held next Tuesday evening, June 8, 19761at7. 7:30 p.m.
<br /> A representative'' from the Board of Governors of the Museum, and the Indian Tribal
<br /> Councillwill be invited to attend. Also, these groups will be ask edkfor any
<br /> recommendations for this 'position and that such person or person's should apply,'before•
<br /> June 8, 1976 ,for-an interview,appointment: ,

<br /> Applications for a full-time Police Officer are being ,reviewed�and',appointments
<br /> for interviews will be set up for 'Tuesday evening;.June 151 .1976. " Chief Bingham will
<br /> be invited to attend:
<br /> • Ads will be .placed in'the Falmouth' Enterprise and Cape Cod +Times on+Junee4
<br /> and June 8, 1976'for positions of'. Conservation Officer, one skilled laborer (Highway
<br /> Department) , two maintenance men, and two full-time firefighters. 'Cut off, dates for
<br /> these applications will be advertised as June 14; 5976. ' Interviews will beset up '
<br /> for these positions -after applications are reviewed, and'respectivel'd'epartment heads
<br /> will 'be�invited to attend.
