Personnel Board Meeting <br /> August 23, 1982 Page 5 <br /> • Caroline stated that she has not seen any changes and that the Personnel Board <br /> has never operated any differently than they do now. <br /> Selectman Garland mentioned that he had never seen the proposed draft of the P.A.P. <br /> but suggested that the Personnel Board make changes in which they see fit. <br /> The meeting with the Selectmen and the Executive Secretary adjourned at this point. <br /> Selectwoman Thomas suggested that the Personnel Board send their recommendations <br /> over again for the Dog Officer position and if they wanted to re-recommend Mr. <br /> Fitzgerald it was up to them. <br /> The Personnel Board voted unanimously to strongly re-recommend hiring Mr. Fitzgerald <br /> and asked the secretary to send a memo to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Minutes of August 2, 1982 <br /> Curtis made a motion to accept the minutes of the Personnel Board's meeting of <br /> August 2. Caroline seconded the motion. <br /> Dismissal of Nathan White <br /> A. memo dated August 18. from_Burley Green regarding the dismissal of Nathan White <br /> was read into the minutes. No grievance has been filed with the town to date. <br /> Request to Transfer Employee <br /> Another memo dated August 16 requesting to transfer Martin Hendricks from a full- <br /> time temporary maintenance status to a full-time salaried laborer to fulfill the <br /> position held by Nathan White was read into the minutes. The Personnel Board voted <br /> not to make a decision at this time until the new Superintendent of Streets, when <br /> hired, has had time to review the matter and make recommendations. <br /> Gate Attendant <br /> Wendy Rubin informed the Board that Ray Martini, Sr., Gate Attendant, left two weeks <br /> early in the season to take a vacation. Wendy said that she would not recommend <br /> Mr. Martini for a job in the future with the Recreation Department. <br /> She requested that the Personnel Board hire Helen Johnson to fill in for the remainder <br /> of the season. The Board approved this hiring. <br /> Review of P.A.P. <br /> The Board voted to table the discussion on the P.A.P. until after Labor Day. <br /> • The members of the Board were reminded that interviews would be scheduled for Superin- <br /> tendent of Streets and Board Secretary to the Charter Commission at their next meeting. <br /> Bob requested that the time of the meeting be moved up to 6:00 p.m. <br />
