N -2- Personnel Board Minutes Meeting of December 12 , 1988 Sick Bank Request The Board reviewed letter from the Ma.shpee Fire Department Sick Bank Committee dated December 7 , relative to request from Firefighter David Dottridge to use an undetermined amount of sick time from the Sick Bank . The Sick Bank Committee has approved the use of thirty days by F/F_/David Dottridge .starting on January 8 , 1989 : , Leo Turo . asked the , assistant to adjust the records accordingly _ ' - f Release of Personnel Information The Assistant advised the Board that she met with Atty . Morse of Reardon ' s office regarding the request from Ann Henderson for information in the personnel file . Attorney Morse stated that skiee-received material ..from the Secretary of State ' s Office outlining the . perimeters of information which must be released . Copies were .made for the personnel files . Atty . Morseadvised. the assistant exactly what information oneach application of the two department heads could be released . Things such as social security numbers , references , or anything of personal nature should not be released . Manny Glickman requested that thesecretarysend a letter to Atty . Morse asking her to put a letter in writing to the Board in follow up as to what the perimeters are . Minutes of November 30 and December 5 Board members were given copies of Minutes of Nov : 30 and Dec . 5 for their review . Evaluation of Margaret Carmichael .The Board reviewed a one-year evaluation of Margaret Carmichael , a part- time clerk in the Assessor ' s office . Based upon the very favorable evalua- tion by her supervisor, ( 'Pat Hicks , Manuel Glickman moved to accept the evaluation . Leo Turo seconded . Ben Lofchie ab,stained being a member of the Board of Assessors . All others were in favor . Deputy Fire Chief Position . The Assistant advised the Board that the Fire Chief has requested assistance in advertising for ,a Deputy Fire Chief . He plans to require- a500 word essay describing what the applicant would do to improve the fire prey,ention and public education programs in the Town of Mashpee . The interview .panel will consist of Chiefsofrom three other towns including the Mashpee Chief and a member of the. Jaycees . He requested member of the Personnel Board to assist . Leo Turo , the liaison to the Fire Department , will sit in . if - interviews are held at night . Chairman Sullivan will be the back up person if Leo Turo cannot make it . Department HeadSurveyof Salaries - Ed Baker asked the Assistant to survey other towns for salaries of depart- ment heads who have similar duties to those in the Town of Mashpee .
