Youth Commission <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Minutes from the Youth Commission Meeting of May 31, 1994. <br /> Those in attendance were Gordon Harris, June Forni, Bill Forni, <br /> Jody Granucci,and Gus Fredricks. Absent were Debbie Dami, and <br /> Louis Farwell. Gordon opened the meeting at 7:20. <br /> Gus is looking into attaining a copy a by-laws for the youth <br /> commission. When he obtains a copy, he will send each youth <br /> commission member a copy. <br /> The Bourne Mission Statement was discussed and edited for use as <br /> the Mashpee Youth statement. Gordon and June made a motion to <br /> approve the corrected mission statement. Jody seconded the motion. <br /> The minutes from the April meeting were approved with the exception <br /> of the correction of the spelling of Jody Granucci's last name, and <br /> Cathy West first name. The minutes were approved by June and <br /> seconded by Cathy. <br /> Gus passed out copies of an independent survey from the year 1988 <br /> for council members to take home and examine. <br /> The bus situation was discussed. The options available at this <br /> point are one, obtain the buses from Joe DiMaggio in August and <br /> two, obtain the bus from the base where many surplus busses are <br /> stored. Gus will be following through on these options. <br /> Gordon presented the idea of approaching the bus to that of writing <br /> a grant. He felt that we should start out simple and build. the <br /> group was in agreement. It was also discussed that at our next <br /> meeting that how we should be organizing and operating the bus <br /> would be written up. For now the group agreed to use the bus to <br /> transport youth to and from specified Leisure services activities. <br /> At some point, Gus will present a proposal to selectmen. <br /> Bob Govoni was introduced and interviewed by the group at 8: 15 as <br /> a possible member or alternate to the Youth commission. Morgan <br /> Peters will be interviewed at our next meeting for June 28 , 1994. <br />
