OPE <br /> The meeting opened at 6:42 PM. <br /> II. SECRETARY S REPORT 6:43PM <br /> Gus Frederick asked for any comments or corrections on Minutes from February 28th meeting. <br /> Bob Govoni asked for a clarification on the Legal Opinion that we had requested. Minutes should <br /> indicate that a Legal Opinion was being requested for review of proposed Financial Assistance <br /> Application. Jodie Granucci made a motion to approve the Meeting of February 28 with Bob Govoni <br /> seconding. Motion carried. <br /> III. COMMUNICATIONS - 6:45pm <br /> A letter was read addressed to the Board of Selectmen, from Deborah Damt indicating her <br /> immediate resignation from the Youth Commission, dated March 3, 1995. Debbie's resignation <br /> indicated that she did not have enough time to give her full attention to the commission. With regret, <br /> Deborah's resignation was accepted. <br /> IV. REPORTS - 6:46pm <br /> A. Old Business - <br /> 1. Membership <br /> Discussion revolved around the need for increasing the number of regular members to our <br /> committee. With the resignation of Debbie Dami, and last months removal of Marita Scott -we now <br /> have three (3)openings. Gus indicated that having alternates and our Selectman Liaison - George <br /> Costa, attending, we have now had two (2) meetings in a row!! Discussion revolved around <br /> recommending Joey Geary to the committee. Cathy West made a motion recommending Joey be <br /> appointed as a regular member of the committee. Jodie Granucci seconded this motion. Motioned <br /> carried unanimously. A letter will be sent forthwith to the Selectmen for their approval. <br /> 2. Report on Youth Drop-in Center 7:05pm <br /> Peg Geary was introduced to the committee. Mrs. Geary attended to give an update on the <br /> Drop-In Youth Center being held on Saturday night at the "nger Fist"Karate School. Mrs. Geary <br /> indicated that they were complying with all permits required in Town, and had adequate Liability <br /> Insurance. She also indicated that between 18&20 youths attended that last program, on March 25. <br /> Presently, there are usually three to four adult volunteers chaperoning the program, including Shawn <br /> Hendricks -who runs the Karate School. The present plan is to have 6th through 8th graders on one <br />
