• MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> AUGUST 10, 1993 <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> Present: Peter Dinizio, Bill Jones, Merry Sue Ahlgren, Janice <br /> Mills, Robert Mills, Stephen Greelish, Bill Martiros, Joe Polito <br /> Dr. Lincoln DeMoura, Carl Franceschi , DRA, Gary Larson , DRA <br /> Meeting convened at 7 : 35 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Ms. Ahlgren made a motion to accept the minutes of August 3, <br /> 1993. Robert Mills seconded the motion. All members in favor. <br /> DISCUSSION WITH TITLE EXAMINER <br /> The Committee met with Paul O'Connell , Title Examiner. He stated <br /> the title work will be 100% complete by Sept 15 , 1993. <br /> Chairman Dinizio explained it has been determined the appraisal <br /> services should have gone out to bid from the beginning . The <br /> Committee, working through the Executive Secretary, must define <br /> what services it needs, advertise it then hire an appraiser to <br /> conduct the work. A local appraiser was dissatisfied he was not <br /> • given the opportunity to bid on this job. <br /> The Committee agreed at this point Mr. O'Connell should continue <br /> onward with his work. <br /> DISCUSSION WITH DRA - ARCHITECTS <br /> Mr. Franceschi and Mr . Larson presented 2 possible layouts for <br /> each of the sites for the Committees review. <br /> The Committee reviewed the building siting , fields, interior <br /> roads and access for each proposal . <br /> The Committee agreed Meetinghouse Rd access should be avoided . <br /> They discussed the relationship of the interior roadways to the <br /> building, particularly access for the busses and pedestrian <br /> walkways. <br /> The Committee discussed the old dump site and it's potential <br /> problems and possible solutions. <br /> Mr. Franceschi explained GZA will spend a day on the site with a <br /> backhoe, doing test pits. <br /> Steve Greelish stated some level of hydrocarbons have been <br /> detected . <br /> The Rte 130/Davis School site is the historical center of town , <br /> • it is more residential and is where the population is. <br /> 1 <br /> I <br />
