• Mr. Dinizio noted that Lowell Road/0ld Barnstable Rd will see a <br /> large increase in traffic (for 151 site) and is already a <br /> dangerous road . <br /> Bill Jones asked if they knew of any studies on payout of putting <br /> in sidewalks to save money on busing? <br /> Mr. Abend has not seen any study like that. <br /> Bob Writenhour explained the Town has a comprehensive bikepath <br /> plan and are aggressively pursuing starting it. <br /> Tom asked Mr. Abend if he would be doing any traffic projections <br /> in general on the roadway, trips generated? Mr. Abend can do <br /> something like that. He will review some of the upcoming <br /> developments in town with Tom and any traffic studies done. <br /> The Committee mentioned the stalled development of 750 units <br /> (Southport) on Lowell road. <br /> UPDATE FROM BOB WRITENHOUR <br /> Bob Writenhour told the Committee they have finalized the <br /> contract with DRA. <br /> The appraisal work has gone out to bid and bids will be in <br /> • shortly. <br /> There were problems with doing testpits on private properties. <br /> Town Counsel is strong in his opinion recommending the town not <br /> go on any private property unless the owners have given <br /> permission to do so. Mr. Writenhour first sent a letter <br /> notifying owners of what would be happening and then a second <br /> letter with a sign off on the bottom to be returned . <br /> In the meantime DRA has done test pits on the town property. <br /> They have received permission from Fields Point and Leary. <br /> He stated they are trying to push ahead on these issues as fast <br /> as they can but are making sure all proper steps are taken . <br /> He told the Committee to contact him at any time with questions. <br /> Mr. Writenhour will personally coordinate with Mr. Franceschi the <br /> permission responses and which parcels GZA needs to get on . <br /> The Committee mentioned to Mr. Writenhour their concern about a <br /> slow response from Town Counsel , especially with the appraisal <br /> contracts. The appraiser may not begin work until they have a <br /> legal contract. <br /> Mr. Writenhour stated he will come up with the appraiser's <br /> contract in house, incorporating the RFP and response, fax it to <br /> counsel and have it completed in a couple of days . <br /> Mr. Dinizio asked Mr. Writenhour how he proposed the person <br /> • (appraiser) be selected and brought on Board to start work? <br /> Mr. Writenhour would like to see Tom Fudala be the technical <br /> 2 <br />
