** Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for their <br /> approval and payment $1 , 641 . 08 for additional fees associated <br /> with steel repairs. Joe seconded the motion. All members were in <br /> favor 5-0 . ** <br /> - Joel received comments on the phase I off site improvements from Greg <br /> Taylor. <br /> They have received a progess number for phase II and were told the project <br /> would be on the bid list for October. Joel has asked VHB to get that in <br /> writing. <br /> Tom said there is a question, regarding phase II work, as to whether the <br /> town may have to do a further taking, on the other side of Rte 151 . <br /> - The FF & E bids have gone out. <br /> Duel Fuel <br /> Joel said SMMA feels the range of costs for installation of a duel fuel <br /> system is $130 ,000- $150, 000 . <br /> The Committee reviewed the cost savings. Chartwell originally estimated a <br /> savings of $66 , 000 . Paul estimated, based on $91 , 000 heating bill per year, <br /> the savings would be $36 ,000 per year. <br /> Bill believes that to be a short payback. <br /> Steve said getting operating money for a school budget each year is more <br /> difficult than getting the additional money to install the system now. <br /> ** Bill made a motion to accept SMMA' s proposal for $12 , 135 . to <br /> design/engineer a duel fuel system.
