T <br /> MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> TUESDAY,FEBRUARY 25, 1997 <br /> HIGH SCHOOL <br /> Present: Merry Sue Ahlgren,Joe Polito,Peter Dinizio,Bill Martiros,Paul Griffin,Joel Seeley, <br /> Tom Wren,Jim Byrne, John Williams <br /> Meeting convened at 4:17 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> ** Merry Sue made a motion to accept the minutes of February 5, 1997. Joe seconded the <br /> motion. All members were in favor 5-0** <br /> DEDICATION CEREMONY <br /> Merry Sue distributed a copy of the invitation that will be sent out for the dedication ceremony <br /> on April 13'". There will be a sketch of the building on the front, drawn by the art teacher. <br /> Dr. DeMoura has the invitation list, if members think of anyone who should be added to it. <br /> The dedication is open tot he entire community,the invitation will be published in the <br /> Enterprise, Cape Cod Times and Messenger. <br /> It will be a short dedication program, then there will be tours of the building. They are hoping to <br /> have students in the rooms to show off some of the equipment. <br /> The Committee talked about having pictures on display of how the building progressed. <br /> Mike Pietrowski said he was asked to put together a slide presentation when the other schools <br /> had dedication ceremonies, should he do that for the high school? <br /> Merry Sue will ask Dr. DeMoura <br /> Paul suggested running a video presentation on the TV's in the lobby. <br /> The ceremony will be held in the auditorium, with the cafeteria available for overflow. <br /> FF& E Technology <br /> Mike Kirwin was present to discuss the status of technology. <br /> Edgestar is substantially complete,the school agrees. He will write a formal letter this week. <br /> Whicom is also substantially complete and the school agrees. <br /> Mahone, the network vendor, is substantially complete and the school agrees. There is one piece <br /> of network management software outstanding which they were holding off until the network <br /> administrator was hired. Today the school asked that it be delivered so they are now <br /> substantially complete. <br /> John Williams said they are interviewing the 3 finalists for the network administrator position <br /> and that decision could be made by this Friday. <br /> National Telecom has performed all but three tasks. <br /> John Williams said there is still the issue of the wireless phone. <br /> Mike Kirwin said if they don't have one by Feb. 28's,they will be asked to provide a credit to the <br /> contract. <br /> Paul asked Mike to review the specs. If it is a performance spec, they will have to perform,no <br /> matter how long it takes. <br />
