Mike Pietrowski said the Committee has bought 2 addition phones, for$400. Tom said that was
change order#1 for technology.
Mike Kirwin said they must also provide training for setting up the homework hotline. The
school would like CWOF to be trained in that also so they can pass it onto the new network
administrator. The homework hotline is an announcement box only. Teachers have a separate
voice mail box for messages.
Mike Kirwin looked up the specs for the wireless phone, it is a performance requirement.
Paul said we will not accept a credit, they have to perform.
HB Communication:video system. They think they will be substantially complete by Friday.
Mike thinks that is optimistic. The TV signal at the TV's in the lobby is not yet running through
the HB system as designed. The issue of amplification should wait until that happens.
Mike Pietrowski said in his opinion it will need some amplification even after going through the
HB system.
CIC: they are substantially complete with 7 of the open items, all of which they said would be
completed by Feb. 28'x. On Friday,Feb. 28h they will call Mike Kirwin to schedule a walk
through of the school and he will coordinate the punchlist with CWOF.
Merry Sue asked how the school fees about CICS progress?
John Williams said much better. Being out of the school for 1 week helped. There is still training
that has to occur. He is having a conference call on Thursday to finalize the training. Having
Kevin from CWOF has been very helpful. Having a network administrator will be even better.
Kevin did a 1 hour training with the office staff yesterday.
Paul said is it correct there are some teachers that don't have computers?
Jim explained he and John Williams walked around and counted 8-10 locations with no teacher
workstation. One is a computer lab, 3 are science labs.
Paul said he is really concerned about that. If we bought computers for the rooms, why not for
the teachers?
Mike Kirwin said the school has the number of computers that it bought.
Jim said we don't have to buy additional computers, we are relocating one already here. For
example the art room was scheduled for 2 but there is only 1 art teacher.
Paul said he thought they had carefully pre-determine the schedule of computer purchases. If
there is a glitch, he wants to know where it is so this doesn't happen again in phase U.
Merry Sue said as the school builds out, there will be teachers without a classroom, but they
need a computer, or need to be able to share a computer.
John said there should be voice and data outlets in the teacher work room. With that ability,
they could have a location for all teachers.
Mike Kirwin presented three items to be purchased, with the Committee's approval:
-library resource: a group of 4 CD's and 5 videos. CCR is recommending purchase, it is an
