administrator and he is trying to make it a complete system
Tape backup: Paul said we now have a mirror backup which is superior to a tape backup because
it will automatically backup. He wants to talk to Mike Kirwin as to why there is no tape backup.
4. Kitchen equipment: for the kitchen area, not home economics. Paul asked why this was not
ordered. Dr. DeMoura does not now. Everyone claims this list was submitted but never acted
on. No one every involved Mrs. Warren in fumishing the kitchen.
Jim said Manny Tavares and Tom Wren have minutes of meetings where Mrs .Warren's boss
attended. Paul said her boss should explain why they need it. He asked Jim to send the list to
Manny Tavares.
5. Football scoreboard: Dr. DeMoura knows it was talked about but is not sure of the status.
Paul asked the board secretary to review the minutes of previous meetings re: the football
scoreboard to determine if the Committee voted on it. Merry Sue remembers discussing whether
we were buying it turnkey or if we had to hire an electrician.
3. PA speakers: in art room,kitchen and.outside.
Paul said this should go back to SMMA. Merry Sue said anything on this list that is a true
omission should be pulled off the list and completed
Jim suggested talking to the electrician they have worked with about installing the PAs. The
electrician should work for Chartwell.
7 Folding tables and 2 carts to hold them: Ron Bok explained they have nothing portable for the
school,to set up displays for example. Jim will talk to Manny Tavares.
8 Internal security gates:Dr. DeMoura would Iike portable gates in order to close off certain
areas. Mr. Bok explained they would like to close off certain bathrooms which are being abused
They can restrict where the students are.
Paul said the have to be very careful with these gates regarding liability issues. They cannot
create a dead end corridor.
Dr. DeMoura will meet with Bill Haulk and the Fire Department to discuss it before using them.
9.Security cameras for all external doors: presently there are none at the external door of the
boys locker room.
Jim is working with the principal on preparing a list of doors which do not have cameras.
Paul asked him to be sure we will not have to go to a second recorder when we add more
cameras.
Merry Sue said there are really two issues: night we are concerned about vandalism so we could
view the tape the next day to determine who entered the building. During the day, it is a student
security issue.
Paul said he and Jim will do a walk-through of the building and re-look at the security issue.
Leisure Services needs to be involved. The cleaning people are part of the problem, they prop
doors open and leave them open.
10. Washer and dryer: for the athletic department. Jim said we already own them but they have
not yet been delivered.
11. Science equipment: for physics class, which is not yet being offered.
12. Angle covering for gym wall: Mr. Bok explained there is a flat base 15 feet up in the gym and
the balls get stuck, if it were angled that would not happen.
13.
