NO PARKING AREA • Absolutely no parking allowed in the circle in front of the school excepting marked parking spaces only—day or night—24 hours per day, 7 days per week. • Designated parking spaces in front of the building can be used only between the hours of 9:30am to 1:30pm. NEVER DURING BUS DROP OFF AND PICK UP PRIOR TO 9:30AM AND AFTER 1:30PM. • Area in front of the school is a fire lane zone only. Fire lane regulations are per law. DROPPING OFF OR PICKING UP YOUR CHILD AT SCHOOL • Drop off is in the main parking lot closest to the property. PLEASE, THESE PARKING AREAS ARE NOT FOR EXTENDED OR PERMANENT PARKING DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. • It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to escort the child(ren) to the sidewalk. • When dropping off, students cannot arrive prior to 8:40am. There is no supervision for students prior to this time. Students arriving from 8:40am until school opens will remain outdoors until permitted into the building by staff on duty. (On inclement weather days, students will report to the cafeteria until class begins.) • Preschool drop-off and pick-up is in this same area. No drop-offs or pick-ups in the playground area. • If a child is dismissed due to illness or any other reason,pick-up is in the same parking area or in the designated spaces in front of the school only if they are available. • When picking up your child at the end of the school day for dismissal, park in main parking lot closest to the property. Dismissal is at 3:20pm, otherwise a child is marked as an early dismissal from school and this will be recorded on the report card. • You will enter the right door facing the front of the building and report to the secretaries who will dismiss your child to you. There may be occasional dismissal circumstances for which the secretary in the hall may require you to go to the main office prior to your child's dismissal. • Please observe the handicap parking signs. • If a child is dropped off prior to school hours and/or picked up beyond school hours the following will occur: • first occurrence: Principal will contact parents/guardians; • second occurrence: Principal will send a letter to parents/guardians; • third occurrence: Principal will contact Department of Social Services (DSS). PLEASE OBSERVE SPEED LIMITS ON SCHOOL PROPERTY FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY. 27
