DISCIPLINE CODE <br /> OFFENSES <br /> Arson, Bullying, Cheating, Corridor Violation, Defacing school property, Disruptive <br /> behavior, Extortion, False alarms, Fighting, Food outside cafeteria, Forgery, Homework <br /> (not done), Horseplay, Insubordination, Inciting others to violence or disruption, Lack of <br /> preparation for class, Lack of privacy in the school bathrooms, Offensive language, <br /> Physical attack, Possession or use of weapons (or replicas; i.e., plastic or otherwise) or <br /> dangerous articles, Possession, use or distribution of alcohol, controlled or over-the- <br /> counter substances,Repeated loss of books/equipment, Sexual harassment, Smoking, <br /> Tardiness, Theft, Throwing objects, Truancy from school/class,Unauthorized sale and <br /> distribution of materials and goods, Vandalism. <br /> RANGE OF CONSEQUENCES <br /> The range of administrative action will be based upon the number and the severity of the <br /> infraction(s). The administrator or his/her designee reserves the right to take the action <br /> deemed appropriate for specific behaviors not addressed in this code: <br /> • Conferences with student and/or parent/guardian <br /> • Detention (recess) <br /> • Restitution <br /> • Temporary removal from class or classes <br /> • Behavioral probation <br /> • Social restriction(ie., field trips, assemblies, etc.) <br /> • In-school suspension <br /> • Out-of-school suspension <br /> • Notification of authorities <br /> • Expulsion <br /> • Threat Assessment Management (TAM) <br /> THREATS <br /> Posed Threat: <br /> 1. Report to principal <br /> 2. Principal brings Threat Assessment Management Team together <br /> 3. Investigation/interviews by the TAM Team <br /> 4. Notification to teacher or responsible staff member(s) <br /> 5. Possible parent/guardian contact <br /> 6. Referral to resource officer(optional) <br /> 7. Possible referral to either CORE Team/guidance/school adjustment <br /> counselor/school psychologist <br /> 8. Possible outside referral <br /> 9. Complete PBIS incident form <br /> 10.
