Due to space constraints and other school issues, parents/guardians/visitors may not drop in for <br /> lunch with students. There will be opportunities during the year for breakfast or lunch due to <br /> school-wide functions or individual teacher/classroom created events. <br /> • Due to safety issues, parents/guardians/visitors may not drop by for recess with students. <br /> There are specifically assigned school monitors whose responsibility it is to supervise the <br /> children each day. <br /> • Animals are not permitted excepting for very specific purposes such as for science class. <br /> Classroom pets are not permitted. Also, please keep pets at home when transporting your <br /> child to an <br /> d from school. Pets should not be in school or on school grounds due to safety <br /> reasons. <br /> STUDENTS ATTENDING MASHPEE SCHOOLS MUST <br /> BE MASHPEE RESIDENTS <br /> Uponregistration,istration, and/or at any other time the school should have a concern, parents/guardians <br /> g <br /> must provide required proofs of residency. <br /> With the exception of school choice students as voted by the school committee, a pupil must <br /> attend school in the town of which parent, legal guardian or other person or persons serving as <br /> his/her parent or parents are actually bona fide residents. A bona fide residence is one where <br /> the family group of which the student is part actually lives. This means that the family cooks, <br /> eats, and sleeps in a specific house regularly during the week. A person serving as a parent is <br /> an adult person with whom he/she lives. Official documentation for legal guardianship is <br /> required when a student does not reside with a parent. <br /> CHANGE OF TELEPHONE OR RESIDENCE <br /> Parents/guardians are required to complete a personal data/emergency information form at the <br /> beginning of the school year or upon registration during the year. Please provide all the <br /> necessary information on the form. We roust have your home phone number. Cell phone <br /> numbers should be provided. Clothing wom to school should reflect a positive self-image and should not be <br /> disruptive or distracting to the educational process. <br /> 1. The following apparel including, but not limited to, may not be wom in school: <br /> a. Exposed undergarments <br /> b. Short shorts,and short skirts/dresses <br /> c. Clothing that exposes midsections and backs <br /> d. Hat and hoods <br /> e. Clothing expressing inappropriate language and images that are vulgar or <br /> profane or that advocate racial, ethic or religious prejudice, gang affiliation, or <br /> the use of tobacco, drugs, or alcohol. <br /> f.
