Goals of the Entry Process: <br /> My overall goals throughout the entry process have been the following: <br /> • To develop a general understanding of the culture,values,and beliefs which define <br /> the Mashpee Public Schools <br /> • To establish a presence in the schools and larger community <br /> • To establish positive working relationships with all stakeholders so credibility, <br /> trust,and confidence will be cultivated <br /> • To identify the key issues in the district that will help inform the strategic planning <br /> process <br /> • To identify strategies that maximize efficiency and effectiveness <br /> • To develop preliminary strategies and goals for improvement based upon review <br /> of data <br /> The format of the report's findings is broken down into four major themes,which are as <br /> follows: <br /> ➢ District Culture, Values, &Beliefs About Learning <br /> ➢ Leadership& Governance <br /> ➢ Teaching and Learning in the MPSD <br /> ➢ District Efficiencies&Effectiveness <br /> Each theme is broken down into categories that include the major findings and next steps <br /> associated with the thematic area. The delineated next steps are not detailed in nature; <br /> rather they describe general strategic directions that the district should focus its future <br /> efforts. The report ends with a Conclusion followed by the Appendices. <br /> 3 <br />
