• Executive Functioning Skills <br /> • Self Regulation <br /> • Obtaining supplemental Social Security <br /> • Resource Fairs <br /> • MassHealth Enrollment Process <br /> • Guardianship Process <br /> • There was discussion of the staff re-organization and SPED surplus funding returned to the <br /> town.Change in staff participation at IEP meetings and the elimination of Nancy Dugan's <br /> position as Assistant SPED Director.The reorganization affects all schools and will take time to <br /> implement.The COMPASS Transitions Committee hopes the upcoming changes in staffing will <br /> be beneficial. <br /> • One parent expressed disappointment and sadness at the loss of Nancy Dugan as Assistant SPED <br /> Director.She expressed appreciation for Mrs. Dugan's hard work and commitment to the <br /> Mashpee Schools wishing her well in her future endeavors. <br /> • Joyce O'Connor,RN for MMS and MHS introduced a draft newsletter for the SEPAL with positive <br /> feedback from attendees. <br /> • Patti from K C Coombs provided an update on the therapeutic playground project which will <br /> hold its groundbreaking ceremony in June.She also provided information on the transition <br /> process from one school to the next with Step Up Nights and student visits to the next school <br /> during the school day. <br /> • Workshop topic decisions <br /> • Upcoming SEPAC meeting dates <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Michele Brady,Special Educatio A inistrator <br />
