COOMBS SCHOOL <br /> 2010-2011 SMART GOALS <br /> PRESCHOOL— IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING <br /> To align the preschool math curriculum objectives and portfolio assessment pieces to the <br /> Everyday Math Program; <br /> To meet the kindergarten baseline objectives for students entering kindergarten in <br /> September. <br /> KINDERGARTEN— IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING <br /> 75% of kindergarten students will demonstrate an understanding of numerals and <br /> numeration in the domains of counting, estimating, representing and comparing numbers, <br /> reading and writing numbers. We will meet this goal by monitoring the adequate <br /> progress statements and ongoing assessment of sub goals in Everyday Math. <br /> 25% of current kindergarten students do not demonstrate an understanding of numerals <br /> and numeration. <br /> GRADE ONE— IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING <br /> 80% of first grade students will make adequate progress in the number and numeration <br /> strand in the Everyday Math Program by June 1, 2011. We will meet this goal by <br /> monitoring the adequate progress statements and on-going sub-goals in Everyday Math. <br /> Measures and assessments as indicated in the Everyday Math Program will be utilized. <br /> GRADE TWO— IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING <br /> 75% of second grade students will meet with adequate progress in the content strand of <br /> number and numeration using Everyday math. The games will help children develop the <br /> ability to think critically and solve problems and provide an enjoyable way to practice <br /> basic skills. We will meet this goal by monitoring the adequate progress statements and <br /> on-going sub-goals in Everyday Math. Measures and assessments as indicated in the <br /> Everyday Math Program will be utilized <br /> TITLE ONE AND SPECIAL EDUCATION— IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT <br /> LEARNING <br /> To work collaboratively to form and participate as a member of the School Data Analysis <br /> Team. The Team will identify students in need of Response to Intervention. <br /> TITLE ONE— IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING <br /> Second grade Title One students will demonstrate improvement in their instructional <br /> reading level with results in May falling in I or K level with 90-04% accuracy and <br /> satisfactory/excellent comprehension or 95-100% accuracy with limited comprehension <br /> as measured by the Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System 1. <br />
