Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local <br /> educational policies and statewide student performance standards <br /> 2. Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school <br /> 3. Reviewing the annual school building budget <br /> 4. Formulating a school improvement plan <br /> List of Documents for 12/9/10 School Council meeting: <br /> 1. Superintendent Bradshaw's Budget FY12 Preliminary Numbers—Maintenance Budget <br /> Proposal—Power point presentation given at 11/17/10 SC meeting <br /> 2. 2009-2010 School Improvement Plan (SIP)—Academic Achievement Goals <br /> Achieved/Not Achieved Data Sheet <br /> - 3. Quashnet School MCAS Analysis(2001-2010) <br /> School: Proficient/Above; Waming/Needs Improvement, and state data <br /> 4. 2010-2011 School Improvement Plan.(SIP) <br /> 5. 2010-2011 School Improvement Plan (SIP)Academic Achievement Goals-prior year's data <br /> Anenda/Minutes <br /> 1. Sharina/Update—Friends of Mashpee Public Schools <br /> Barbara Cotton was absent. Based on information.shared.at last School Committee <br /> meeting—approximately 100 email addresses are now included on the contact list. A Flyer is <br /> being prepared by this group to be sent home with each student—describing the vision and <br /> goals of the group and including a tear-off section for collecting parent contact information <br /> 2. "Mashpee Cares" <br /> This is a community-wide effort to develop a plan to address social issues involving Mashpee <br /> youth and their families. There area number of areas that need attention, including bullying, <br /> drug abuse, suicide prevention, gang activity, and helping young people learn how to manage <br /> the stresses in their lives. These issues are bigger than the schools and a coalition of adults <br /> representing health organizations, law enforcement, advocacy, and the business community <br /> has been assembled to work together to support the young people of Mashpee. <br /> First"Launch" meeting was held on Monday, December 6th from 6:00 PM—7:00 PM in the Quashnet <br /> library. Double the number of participants expected turned out to pafticipate in this initiative. <br /> Next meeting: January 6, 2011 <br /> Council Suggestions: <br /> 1. Provide a brochure of agencies that can,provide families with sources of support. <br /> Such a brochure already exists—Make sure it is getting into the hands of those who <br /> need it and.provide support so that connections will be made. <br /> 2. It is important to include/involve Mashpee coaches of all youth organized sports. <br /> P 0-40'e— <br />
