Other <br /> School Choice (Agenda Item added by Council member) <br /> The Council does not support School Choice at the Kindergarten level. <br /> School Choice at the other elementary levels (1-6) requires further discussion. <br /> An annual analysis <br /> No negative impact to Mashpee's resident students <br /> What is the financial benefit? <br /> We need a policy to address students who move during the school year, but who desire <br /> to finish the year in Mashpee—with a parent who is willing to transport them to <br /> school. <br /> Facilities <br /> Gymnasium and student bathrooms were painted over the Christmas break. <br /> The cafeteria and kitchen have been painted. <br /> Hallways are currently being painted. <br /> Guidance suite—to be painted once leaking roof has been fixed. <br /> Postponed to the next School Council meeting: <br /> Transitioning: 2 nd to 3rd; 6 th to V <br /> Review of current parent/student handbook (start process)—planning for SY 11-12 <br /> Meeting adjourned at 4:45 PM <br /> Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 3, 2011. <br /> (Quashnet School Conference Room) <br />
