f MASHPEE SEWER COMMISSION <br /> OCTOBER 16,2007 <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> M embers Present: Tom Fudala, Don Desmaris <br /> Status of Stearns&Wheler work on Watershed Nitrogen Management Plan <br /> Scenario Development: will be presented at December meeting. <br /> Technology screen final report: presented at November meeting. <br /> MEPA Notice of Project Change was held on Oct.91n <br /> It has been questions if there was a vote of the Sewer Commission authorizing Tom to sign the Notice of <br /> Project Change. <br /> ** Don made a motion to authorize Tom Fudala to sign the MEPA notice of project change <br /> prepared by Stearns and Wheler, retroactively. Tom seconded the motion. All members <br /> were in favor 2-0** <br /> Stearns & Wheler will be meeting with Barnstable on 10/26 and Sandwich on 10/24 to discuss their <br /> portion of Mashpee's study; the part that deals with their town. Both are in Popponesset Bay <br /> watershed. Will have a similar meeting with Falmouth re:Waquoit Bay watershed. <br /> Jeff Gregg told Tom Fudala that he received an email from Tom Camberari, Cape Cod Commission to say <br /> he received the notice of project change and suggested they set up a meeting with the CC to discuss the <br /> project and scenario development. CC has to review in through a joint review process because it is also <br /> a Development of Regional Impact. <br /> Tom will discuss this further with the Cape Cod Commission. <br /> Pio Lombardo has not submitted any new information. The Commission should hear from him in <br /> December. <br /> Invoice from Stearns & Wheler for $7198. Work performed was notice of project change, scenario <br /> development and technology report. <br /> ** Don made a motion to approve for payment the invoice from S&W for$7198. Tom <br /> seconded the motion. All members were in favor 2-0** <br /> Received a contract from SMaST (the work was completed last spring), dated Jan. 16, 2007. Need a <br /> vote of the Sewer Commission to enter into the contract. <br /> ** Don made a motion to endorse the contract for services with SMaST. Tom seconded the <br /> motion. All members were in favor 2-0** <br /> Tom expects to receive a bill soon for the portion of the work that is complete. <br /> Popponesset Bay Pilot Project is meeting Oct. 17`n at 1:30 to discuss the final version of the power point <br /> presentation. The goal is to present it to the towns of Sandwich and Barnstable, starting with <br /> Sandwich's water quality committee, as well as Mashpee Selectmen. <br /> Selectmen's Meeting <br /> Each Sewer Commission member received an email from Joyce Mason, town administrator asking them <br /> to attend the Oct. 29th Selectmen's meeting to report on the status of the wastewater facilities plan and <br /> the high school treatment plant. <br />
