4 MINUTES ** Don made a motion to approve the May 15, 2007 minutes. Tom seconded the motion. All members were in favor. Tom had some changes that need to be made to the June 19 minutes. Glen Harrington, Health Agent informed the Sewer Commission the septic system at building 1 of Mashpee Housing Authority duplexes has failed and is being pumped every 2 weeks. They are also trying to add 9 more bedrooms. He spoke to DEP about allowing them to hook up to the high school plant and pay a fee for that. DEP seemed to be on board with that concept. Lakeside trailer park is having problems with their drinking water. If the property is sold/transferred, will have to deal with wastewater issue. Dino's plaza is being sold and they have provided funds in escrow to potentially hook up to a system in the future rather than do a de-nite now. Annual Organization ** Don made a motion to appoint Tom Fudala as Chairman of the Sewer Commission for 1 year. Tom seconded the motion. All members were in favor 2-0 The three Sewer Commission members each received an email from Joyce Mason regarding meeting with the Water District. She stated there is a potential conflict with Tom being the Sewer Commission's representative because he is also a Water Commissioner. She wants another member of the Sewer Commission to be appointed. Tom stated that he feels he was elected to the Water District because he was also on the Sewer Commission—the voters thought it was a good idea. The joint meeting did not happen in August. It is a meeting between Selectmen. Water District and Sewer Commission. The town administration is not directly involved . Will table this decision until all three members are present.
