A short discussion on the State Revolving Fund Loan program led to a motion by Matt B. <br /> to file for the 0% SRF Loan renewal. It was seconded by Don D.,the vote passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Under new business Tom mentioned the scheduled Public Presentation of the TMDL <br /> Report for Quashnet River/Jelin Pond/Hamblin Pond at the Waquoit Bay National <br /> Estuarine Research Reserve on July 28th at 7:00 PM. He encouraged the Sewer <br /> Commission to attend. <br /> Another item under new business was Bill#1200 under consideration by the State <br /> Legislature. The Bill allows for"checkerboard"betterment assessments. The <br /> commission discussed the issue and Matt B. made a motion that the Sewer Commission <br /> supports the passing of Bill 91200. Don D. seconded the motion. The vote passed <br /> unanimously. The Chair will send a letter supporting the bill to the House and Senate <br /> chairmen of the joint legislative committee considering the bill. . <br /> The final new business item was the County Wastewater Cooperative. Tom mentioned it <br /> is a group in its infancy and encouraged our support. The Wright Pierce "Wastewater <br /> Tools"Report was briefly discussed. <br /> The next meeting is scheduled for September 20th, 2005 at 7:00 PM at the Town Hall in <br /> the Selectman's meeting room. <br /> Don D. made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
