1 <br /> The committee members agreed to contribute to the cost of the installation. Lewis Newell stated <br /> his feeling that these costs should not bete sole responsibility of this committee,but perhaps <br /> should be shared by the Town,and/or WBNERR. <br /> WBNERR REPORT <br /> No report was available from WBNERR representatives. Jim Rassrnan wi II be contacted by this <br /> committee regarding arrangements for installation of the bronze plaque. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> 1. Ben Lofchie Retirement <br /> Jeri Smith announced the receipt of a letter from Ben Lofchie, in which he stated that as of <br /> September 15,2010 he would be moving to Randolph, MA., and would be resigning his position <br /> on the South Cape Beach State Park Advisory Committee. His letter included thanks to all the <br /> members of the committee for making his time on the committee a very rewarding experience. <br /> The Board of Selectmen wil I be asked to send a letter of appreciation to Ben Lofchie for his many <br /> years of service on the committee. <br /> 2. WBNERR Season Report <br /> The committee members agreed that WBNERR did an excellent job this season with pre-season <br /> cleanup of the park, installing additional new parking signs, providing lifeguards, and staffing the <br /> booth for parking fee collections. <br /> 3. Prioritized List for South Cape State Park Requirements <br /> Bill Martiros asked that the committee put together a prioritized list to be presented to the Board <br /> of Selectmen for action on behalf of the Stage Pari(beach. The following items were listed: <br /> Showers and changing rooms <br /> • Toilets <br /> • Picnic tables <br /> • LOT FULL signs at the road entrance,or a tum-around for cars at the parking lot when <br /> the lot is full <br /> Lance Lambros stated that there may be some federal money available, but at the present time, <br /> state money is very tight. Lance recorrinwided that the committee wait until after the election in <br /> November to contact the elected state representatives to press for funds for the State Park. Jeri <br /> Smith wil I compose a letter to be sent to state officials in early December, Lance Lambros wil I <br /> provide a recommended distribution mailing list. <br /> NEXT MEETING <br /> The date for the next committee meeting is to be determined. <br /> As there was no further business,the meeting was adjourned at 5:50 PM. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Ina lobohm <br /> Rewrding Secretary <br /> 2 <br />
