\Jy Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> SOUTH CAPE BEACH STATE PARK <br /> ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Conference Room 3 - 5:00 PM <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of Tuesday, June 21, 2011 <br /> Committee Members Present: Members Absent: <br /> Jeralyn Smith, Chairman Frank Connelly, Vice Chairman <br /> William Martiros <br /> Carey Murphy <br /> Lance Lambros <br /> Robert Lancaster <br /> Lewis Newell <br /> Michael Cardeiro <br /> Gus Frederick <br /> Steven Pinard <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Jeralyn Smith called the meeting to order at 5:08 PM. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Michael Cardeiro made a motion to approve as presented the minutes from the meeting held on <br /> Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Lewis Newell seconded the motion. The motion was <br /> unanimously approved. <br /> WBNERR REPORT—John Singleton <br /> There was no report from WBNERR, as there was no representative from WBNERR present at <br /> the meeting. Jeri Smith will contact John Singleton at WBNERR to impress upon him the <br /> importance of his presence, or a WBNERR representative, at the South Cape Beach State <br /> Park Advisory Committee meetings. <br /> COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION <br /> Jeri Smith stated that she has been serving as committee chairman for some years, and asked <br /> whether there was another committee member who would like to be appointed for the coming <br /> year. As there were no volunteers, Steven Pinard made a motion that the committee retain the <br /> current structure of officers for the coming year. Carey Murphy seconded the motion. The <br /> motion was unanimously approved. <br /> The committee currently has ten members, with one'vacant position to be filled. Mike Cardeiro <br /> reminded the committee that Perry Ellis, former Harbor Master and now retired from that <br /> position, has evidenced interest in becoming a member of the committee'. The Board of <br /> Selectmen are responsible for appointments to the committee. Wayne Taylor has been <br /> appointed as Board of Selectmen liaison to the South Cape Beach Advisory Committee. Jeri <br /> Smith will contact the Selectmen to request an appointment to fill the vacancy. <br /> 1 <br />
