iS I, <br /> t <br /> In reference to a new single structure with more than one dwelling unit, <br /> -a zone panel box or an announciator panel tied to this closed low voltage <br /> alarm system as prescribed above, and designed to indicate all units <br /> within said building shall be installed in a location that is clearly <br /> visible from the outside of said building. <br /> In reference to more than one new structure, each structure containing til <br /> more than one dwelling unit but not more than five multi-unit structures ;' r <br /> cotmon: to or within the same complex or project and based on the Fire " <br /> Chief' s decision with regard to layout of said complex or project P' " <br /> shall exercise one of two options; i r <br /> 1 . Install in each building a zone panel box or announciator panel <br /> tied to the closed low voltage alarm system as prescribed above, <br /> and able to indicate all units within said building in a location <br /> that is clearly visible from the outside of said building. ' <br /> 2. Tie all low voltage alarm system as prescribed above, in all R' <br /> buildings within said complex or project to a common exterior centrally <br /> located announciator panel easily seen by responding fire apparatus ' <br /> which clearly identifies which building in the complex is experiencing <br /> the alarm condition. There shall be at least one telephone lease line <br /> which is designed to carry an alarm or trouble signal running from <br /> this central announciator panel to the Mashpee Fire Department alarm box. <br /> In reference to more than five new or existing structures with all or <br /> the majority of these structures containing more than one dwelling <br /> unit and located within the same complex or project, each structue ' s <br /> closed low voltage alarm system, as prescribed above, shall be tied <br /> into a common exterior centrally located announciator panel easily <br /> seen by responding fire apparatus which clearly indicates whichbuilding <br /> in the complex is experiencing the alarm condition. There shall be <br /> at least one telephone lease line which is designed to carry an alarm <br /> or trouble signal running from this central announciator panel to the <br /> Mashpee Fire Department alarm box. <br /> PART 2: <br /> EXISTING BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES <br /> I� <br /> With regard to existing buildings or structures which are governed by <br /> Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 148, Section 26C and in addition, <br /> those too as condominiums and any other multi-family dwelling buildings y <br /> or structures within the Town of Mashpee ahell have installed alarm <br /> system so prescribed by the Fire Chief as follows: <br /> Smoke detectors shall be installed on each level including the basement <br /> of each unit within the structure. These smoke detectors shall be <br /> i <br /> local to the unit and wired on an essential circuit within the unit, <br /> such as the kitchen circuit or any other essential circuit. <br /> y' <br /> There shall be a rate of rise/fixed temperature heat detector <br /> Mf <br /> installed on each level including the basement of -each unit <br /> i , <br /> within the structure and a prescribed number of heat detectors <br /> in each attic space over each unit depending on the size of the attic. <br /> There shall be fixed temperature heat detector in the room or <br /> space which houses the heating plant for each unit or structure. <br /> These heat detectors shall be part of a complete, closed alarm system, <br /> local to the entire building or structure, therefore sounding around <br /> and. throuzhout the entire building or structure.
