Article 34. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the language of Section 5-9 of Article III, Chapter 5 of the <br /> Mashpee Code by deleting the current language of said section and substituting the following: <br /> "The Finance Committee shall choose one (1) of its number as Clerk. Said Committee may <br /> consider such questions with reference to the conduct of the Town affairs as it may deem <br /> advisable and may consult with any and all officers, boards and committees of the Town with <br /> reference to matters under its supervision; it shall consider the various articles in the warrant for <br /> any annual or special meeting called during its tenure of office and shall make a report of its <br /> doings and recommendations to the Town." <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee does not recommend approval. 0 <br /> Motion made by Juan Bacigalui. <br /> I motion that Article 34 be indefinitely postponed. <br /> Motion to indefinetly postpone passes at 9:45 p.m. <br /> Article 35. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the language of Section 37-1 of Chapter 37 of the <br /> Mashpee Code by deleting the current language of said section and substituting the following: <br /> "The Board of Selectmen shall consist of five (5) voters of the Town, none of whom shall hold <br /> any other elective of(sic) appointed Town office except as otherwise authorized in this Code. <br /> Effective with the Annual Election of 1996, members of the Board of Selectmen shall be elected <br /> one (1) each from the residents of voting precinct two and three for a term of two (2) years, one <br /> (1) each from the residents of voting precinct one and four for a term of one (1) year and one (1) <br /> from the voters of Mashpee at large (to serve as chairman for a term of two (2) years. <br /> Thereafter, members of the Board of Selectmen shall be elected for two (2) years as their terms • <br /> of office expire. maximum tenure in office shall be three consecutive terms." <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee does not recommend approval. <br /> Motion made by Juan Bacigalupi. <br /> I motion that Article 35 be indefinetly postponed. <br /> Motion to indefinitely postpone passes at 9:45 p.m. <br />
