e <br /> MASHPEE WATER DISTRICT <br /> SPECIAL DISTRICT MEETING <br /> TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2004 <br /> Barnstable, ss: Greetings: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify <br /> and summon the inhabitants of the Mashpee Water District who are qualified to vote in <br /> the Election to meet at the Mashpee Water District, 79 Industrial Drive, Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts, on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. for the following purposes: <br /> To act on the Articles contained in the following Warrant: <br /> Article 1: To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate, or transfer from available <br /> funds the sum of $14,982, distributed $8,732. to the field wages account and $6,250. to <br /> the Employees Benefits Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Explanation: This Article will allow the funding of a new field employee for the remainder <br /> of fiscal year 2005. <br /> Article 2: To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available <br /> funds $70,000 into the Stabilization Fund, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Explanation: This Article will allow the District to continue their plan to build up the <br /> Stabilization Fund Account for future capital projects. <br /> Article 3: To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available <br /> funds $160,000 for the purchase and installation of an emergency standby generator for <br /> the two pumping stations located on Rock Landing Road, or take any other action <br /> relating thereto. <br /> Explanation: The furnishing and installing of a generator at this location is one of the <br /> priority recommendations contained in the required Environmental Protection Agency <br /> Vulnerability Assessment. The generator will supply a backup power supply for the two <br /> Rock Landing Road wells and the ground water storage facility. <br /> Article 4: To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available <br /> funds $17,500 for the inventorying of all plans and important District records with <br /> duplicate copies provided in a digital format, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Explanation: This work is another priority item listed in the District's Vulnerability <br /> Assessment. It is very important that the duplicate plans and records be in a digital <br /> format, as they will be kept in a fireproof off-site location. <br /> Article 5: To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available <br /> funds $12,500 to develop a monitoring well location plan to identify locations of all <br /> monitoring wells and to install locks on all monitoring wells, or take any other action <br /> relating thereto. <br />
