~ TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> . TOWN HALL, MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS 02649 <br /> DECISION <br /> Rei Petition of John T. Jones - Case #V-81-2-006 <br /> A petition was filed by John T. Jones of Falmouth, <br /> Massachusetts, requesting a Variance under Section 6.3, E-9 of <br /> the land Use Regulations for permission to conduct retail sales <br /> of fireplace fixtures, and related furnishings, on property <br /> located on Lot 30 (Map 81), Route 28, Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with <br /> Massachusetts General laws, Chapter 40A. Notice was also given <br /> by publishing in the Falmouth Enterprise, a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on January 20, 1981, and <br /> January 27, 1981, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a <br /> part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee <br /> Town Hall on Wednesday, February 4, 1981 at 8sc0 p.m. at which time <br /> the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and <br /> acting throughoutt Michael Makunas, R. G. Sweeney, Peter Muse. <br /> Mr. John Jones explained his intention to construct and <br /> operate an already established fireplace furnishings business. Upon;; <br /> request of the Board, the Petitioner also submitted a complete set <br /> of architectural plans and drawings of the proposed building. By <br /> request of the Petitioner, the Board allowed the petition to be <br /> amended to include a request to vary the minimum set back requirements. <br />
