Minutes August 10, 1988 <br />Page 4. <br />Sinicki explained that the wall will be of piles with sheet timber placed <br />in front of the present wall. Conservation prefers that present wall <br />be left intact since removing it would cause more erosion. <br />Paul Somerville, Shellfish Constable, spoke in favor of the petition. <br />He reported that the erosion is damaging the shellfish beds and the <br />bulkhead would help to improve the quality of marine line in the area. <br />He wanted some conditions on construction which the Conservation Commission <br />would impose. <br />Mr. Govoni moved to grant the Special Permit and Variance as requested. <br />Mrs. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />GERALD EPSTEIN — Requests a Special Permit under Section 6.3.I.9 <br />of the Land Use Requirements to construct and maintain a 16' x 8' float <br />addition to an existing pier on property located at 45 Wheelhouse Lane <br />(Map 120, Lot 45) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: R. Halpern, E. Govoni, C. Hawver <br />Susan Asmus represented'the Petition. She reviewed the dock plans <br />and stated that the present dock was too small for the owner's boat. <br />Paul Somerville, Shellfish Constable, said that the addition would not <br />disturb shellfish. <br />Mr. Govoni motioned to grant the Special Permit. "Ms. Hawver seconded. <br />• All agreed. <br />
