BOARD OF APPEALS <br />• MINUTES <br />November 9, 1988 <br />At 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 9, 1988 the Board of Appeals held <br />a meeting at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present and acting throughout <br />were: William Hanrahan, Michael Makunas, Cheryl Hawver, Richard Halpern <br />and Edward Govoni. <br />Mr. Hanrahan opened the meeting with the request for a moment of silence <br />in memory of Manuel E. Costa, late Vice -Chairman of the Board of Appeals. <br />This was observed. <br />Steven W. Lee - (owner of record: Gail Dymsza-Teveklian) Requests <br />a Variance under Section 7.4 of the Land Space Requirements for permission <br />to vary the setbacks in an,R-S zoning district on property located at 13 <br />Redwood Circle (Map 27 Lot 119) Mashpee, MA. (Continued from October 26, <br />1988). <br />Members sitting: W. Hanrahan, M. Makunas, C. Hawver <br />Mr. Lee represented his petition. He reviewed plans to build a swimming <br />pool on an irregularly shaped lot requiring a 3' set back on each side. <br />• He explained that a medical hardship required use of the pool for therapeutic <br />reasons. The pool would be fenced on all sides. There was no response <br />from abutters. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant the side line setbacks of 3' and a rear <br />lot setback of 22' reducing the rear lot setback requirement from 40' to <br />18' pending the receipt of revised signed plans. Cheryl Hawver seconded. <br />All agreed. <br />John J. Malloy (Continued from October 26, 1988) <br />Members sitting: W. Hanrahan, M. Makunas, R. Halpern <br />Mr. Halpern reported that Patrick C. Toomey, attorney for Mr. Malloy,' <br />had phoned and asked for a continuance since the shellfish studies had not <br />been completed. William C. Henchy, attorney for the abutters, had no objection. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to continue to December 11, 1988. Mr. Halpern seconded. <br />All agreed. <br />Richard and Miriam Coffman (Continued from October 26, 1988) <br />Members sitting: M. Makunas, E. Govoni, R. Halpern <br />Attorney William C. Henchy, attorney for Mr. and Mrs. Coffman, presented <br />a letter requesting to withdraw the petition without prejudice. He said <br />he planned to submit a revised petition. <br />• Mr. Halpern moved to accept the withdrawal without prejudice. Mr. <br />Govoni seconded. All agreed. <br />L i <br />
