Appointments by deleting' the <br /> sub—letter (h) ; and further , adopt a new Article 2. 159 ,or <br /> take any other action relative thereto. <br /> Article 2. 15 Executive Secretary <br /> Section 2. 15. 1 Appointment , Term of Office , Qualifications <br /> (a) The Board of Selectmen by affirmative <br /> vote of a ma..ior i ty•Wf the members shat 1 <br /> appoint an executive secretary to serve <br /> a term from one to three years. <br /> (b) Qualifications <br /> The executive secretary shall be <br /> appointed solely on . the basis of his <br /> executive and administrative quali — <br /> fications . He shall be a person es— <br /> pecially fitted by education , training, <br /> and experience in business or public <br /> administration to perform the duties <br /> of the office . <br /> The Board of Selectmen shall annually <br /> provide for a review of the job per— <br /> formance of the executive secretary <br /> i:jh i ch shal 1 , at 1 east i n summary form, <br /> be a public record. <br /> The executive secretary shall devote <br /> his full time to duties of his office <br /> and shall not hold any other public <br /> office , elective or appointive , nor <br /> shall he engage in any other business, <br /> occupation , or profession during his <br /> term, unless such activity is approved, <br /> in advance , in writing, by the Board of <br /> Selectmen . The Board of Selectmen , may <br /> from time to time . establish such addi — <br /> t i onal qua] i f i cat ions for the off i ce of <br /> executive secretary as seem necessary <br /> or desirable . <br /> 2. 15.2 Powers and Duties <br /> The executive secretary shall be the <br /> chief administrative officer of the <br /> town and shall be responsible to the <br /> Board of Selectmen for the proper <br /> administration of all town affairs <br /> placed under his charge .
