MINUTES March 8, 1989 -2- BOARD OF APPEALS <br />• Uldis Ozolins - (Owner of Record: Thomas F. and Gertrude <br />M. Boyd) - Requests a Special Permit under Section 5.1 ofthe <br />Aoning By-laws for permission to expand a non -conforming structure <br />in an r-3 zoning district on property located at 23 Jeep Place <br />(Map 118, Lotlll) Mashpee, MA. <br />• <br />Members sitting: Micharl Makunas, Cheryl Hawver and Richard <br />Halpern. <br />Presented by Graig Arnold from Huntoon builders. The reason they <br />are here is because they have a 3 bedroom ranch which is a <br />non -conforming structure. Plans were presented. They are <br />raising it to a cape style home and adding on one bedroom. The <br />addition goes straight up. They will relocate the shed which <br />will prevent any conflict. This was stated in a letter to the <br />Board of Appeals. This deck was built 12 years ago. The new <br />structure is going to go vertically. They are trying to upgrade <br />the'house. <br />Abutters who live adjacent to the property stated that <br />there were a couple of problems. The shed was originally to be <br />an 8' by 10' shed. The shed is now 12! by 20'. Cheryl Hawver <br />stated that this was not a Board of Appeals problem. <br />The problem is the raising of the roof will block more of the view. <br />If the shed is the wrong size that is up to the building <br />inspector. The footprints are the same. The builder will not <br />be going out to the left or right. The shed will be moved 3". <br />Richard Halpern made a motion to grant the Special.Permit. <br />Richard Halpern withdrew his motion. <br />Cherly Hawver stated she is having a problem with the fact <br />that they actually have a view over the house if the house is pretty <br />well level. <br />Michael Makunas moved to take it under advisement. The Board <br />of Appeals would like to see the existing structure as is. <br />Cheryl Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />Maria and Mary Rita Krizik - Request a Special Permit under <br />Section 6.3.A.8 of the Land Use Regulations for permission to <br />convert an existing basement to a guest apartment in an R-3.zoning <br />district on property located'at 17 Cedar St. (Map 77, Lot 37) <br />Mashpee, MA. (Agent: Kenneth Charlonne) <br />Members sitting: Edward Govoni, cheryl Hawver and Michael <br />Makunas. <br />
