BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, APRIL 9, 1990 <br /> PAGE FIVE <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> a <br /> 7. FINANCE COMMITTEE - Finance Committee members attended to <br /> discuss with the Board the Fiscal Policy Advisory <br /> Committee recently formed by the Board of Selectmen. Jim <br /> Vaccaro spoke for the Finance Committee stating that this <br /> Committee should go beyond looking at capital items in <br /> view of the current financial problems of the Town. <br /> Further, the Finance Committee feels that the Committee <br /> should be expanded to include a representative of the Board <br /> of Selectmen and a representative of the Finance Committee. <br /> Mr. Harrington and the Board of Selectmen agreed with the <br /> suggestion of the Finance Committee that a member of their <br /> Committee be appointed. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1 . EXECUTION OF POLICE STATION BUILDING CONTRACT - Mr. Carter <br /> moved to execute the Police Department Building Addition <br /> Contract as recommended by Kevin Harrington. Mr. Lawrence <br /> seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1 . COMMUNICATION FROM ALBERT POLSI - The Board received a <br /> letter from Albert Polsi relative to the consideration of <br /> the Pine Tree Corners building on Route 28 as a Town Hall <br /> site. Mr. Hanson stated that this building would not <br /> function well as a Town Hall , due to the size, parking and <br /> the layout of the building. Mr. Harrington was directed to <br /> respond to Mr. Polsi with Mr. Hanson's comments . <br /> 2. COMMUNICATION FROM A. B.C.C. - The Board received a <br /> communication from A.B.C.C. requesting that the Board <br /> certify the resident population. Mr. Carter moved to <br /> certify the resident. population .as: 27.600. Mr. Hanson <br /> seconded the motion and Mr. Gottlieb was in favor. Mr . <br /> Lawrence abstained. <br />
