BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, MAY 14, 1990 <br /> PRESENT: Selectmen Carter, Gottlieb, Hanson, Jacobson , Executive <br /> Secretary Kevin Harrington, Administrative Assistant Joyce <br /> Mason <br /> GUESTS: Finance Committee Members , Carole Dunivan, Jim Vacarro, <br /> Carl Heller, D. Greelish, Anthony Gallo, John Ferriday, <br /> Chief Ridgeway <br /> The meeting convened at 4: 00 p.m. <br /> APPOINTMENTS 8 HEARINGS <br /> 1 . FINANCE COMMITTEE - The Board met with the Finance <br /> Committee to discuss a mutual strategy concerning the <br /> Omnibus Budget. ' <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved that the Board not reconsider its <br /> opposition to the proposed upgrade of the Personnel <br /> Assistant from 37 1/2 hours to 40 hours , but that the <br /> Personnel Board come back in October for the fall Annual <br /> Town Meeting. Mr. Carter seconded the motion. All were in <br /> favor . <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved to reappoint Carole Dunivan to the <br /> Finance Committee for a one year term. Mr. Hanson seconded <br /> the motion. All were in favor. <br /> The Finance Committee stated that their position had not <br /> changed relative to the Fire Department budget. Chief <br /> Ridgeway stated that this would mean four men instead of <br /> five men during the summer months . <br /> The Finance Committee agreed to reconsider their <br /> recommendation relative to Article 17 - the upgrade of the <br /> Outreach Coordinator. Mrs. Jacobson informed the Finance <br /> Committee that the Council on Aging had come to the Board <br /> for this upgrade prior the Special Town. Meeting in the fall <br /> and the Selectmen advised them to wait until the Annual <br /> Town Meeting. Mrs. Jacobson further stated that since the <br /> Outreach Coordinator has come on board, the Senior Center <br /> has improved its service to the community. Mr. Ferriday <br /> asked whether the Job description for the position would be <br /> rewritten for the grade 10 salary. <br />
