BOARDBOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, MAY 14, 1990 <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> ##I (Cont. ) <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved to add $2,000 into the Planning <br /> Department budget in order to keep the Assistant Town <br /> Planner on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) as <br /> recommended by the Finance Committee. Mrs. Jacobson <br /> seconded the motion. , All were in favor. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved to go along with the Finance Committee <br /> recommendation relative to the Harbormaster, Shellfish and <br /> Herring Warden Departments provided that the Finance <br /> Committee explains that it was not intended by the Finance <br /> Committee to be a full year budget for separate <br /> departments . Mrs. Jacobson seconded the motion. All were <br /> in favor. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved to go along with the Finance Committee <br /> recommendation relative to the School Committee for a <br /> budget of $5. 35m. Mrs. Jacobson seconded the motion. All <br /> were in favor. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved to go along with the recommendation of <br /> the Finance Committee relative to the Fire Department <br /> budget. There was no second. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved rescind the previous vote to support the <br /> $29,000 budget recommendation for the Fire Department. Mr. <br /> Carter seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> Mr. Carter moved to recommend that $12 ,000 come from the <br /> Reserve Account if necessary for the Fire Department . Mrs. <br /> Jacobson seconded the motion and Mr. Hanson was in favor. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb was opposed. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved that the Board of Selectmen oppose <br /> Articles 9 - 12. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion. All were <br /> in favor. <br />
