-BOAy2D OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, JANUARY 22, 1990 <br /> PAGE 4. <br /> ) Eastern Contractor' s - Selectmen received a communication from <br /> Eastern Contractor' s relative to Requisition No. 20 for payment in <br /> the amount of $86, 972 . 26 which is being held . <br /> Town Counsel asked the Board to defer action on this as he was <br /> meeting on Thursday with all parties concerned . <br /> The Board so voted . <br /> 5 ) Cost of Living - The Board received an advisory from the <br /> Personnel Board relative to their submitting an article for the <br /> annual town meeting for a 4% cost of living increase for positions <br /> under the PAP. <br /> 6 ) Donation of Land - Selectmen reviewed a memo from the Town <br /> Planner relative to the donation of land by Great River <br /> Corporation, which appears to be land that Mr. Kerrigan claims to <br /> own. <br /> Town Counsel will work with Mr. Fudala to determine who owns this <br /> property. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> • 1 ) Transfer of Land - The Conservation Commission submitted to the <br /> Board their recommendation that the Board vote to accept the <br /> transfer of land from Great Hay Nominee Trust as described in a <br /> letter dated November 15, 1989 from Assistant Town Counsel, <br /> Leslie-Ann Morse . <br /> Selectman Carter moved to accept the transfer of land . Selectman <br /> Hanson seconded the motion. Vote was unanimous . <br /> 2 ) Change order #17 - Selectmen reviewed change order #17 relative <br /> to the Coombs School . <br /> Selectman Carter moved to approve the change order. Selectman <br /> Hanson seconded the motion provided the money is held in obeyance <br /> as previously voted . Vote was unanimous . <br /> 3 ) Letter of Resignation - Selectmen so noted a letter of <br /> resignation from Chris Cahalane as a member of the Council on <br /> Aging . Selectmen asked to have this vacancy posted for two weeks <br /> and ask the Council to make their recommendation for the Board ' s <br /> consideration in four weeks . <br /> 4 ) Snow and Ice - Mr. Virgilio advised Selectmen that he would be <br /> going into deficit spending on snow and ice. <br /> • Mr. Harrington asked the Board to defer action for one week to <br /> allow time to research this further. <br /> Board deferred action for one week . <br />
