Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 3 <br /> January 12, 1998 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARDIG& <br /> Water District Commissionersm (continued) <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to conduct due diligence on potential site <br /> locations, and place this matter as an agenda topic in early February <br /> for further review and consideration. <br /> PUBLIC DISC SSIONm <br /> Correspondence was received from Jeffrey Arnold dated January 8, 1998 <br /> on behalf of George Kleowdis who is currently employed by the Town as <br /> as Police/Fire Dispatcher. <br /> Police Officer Opgn omnetitive Exam_ <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to place the above topic as <br /> an agenda item of discussion. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Mr. Arnold was present to discuss the matter relative to his son-in-law <br /> as it related to the Police Officer Open Competitive Exam which is scheduled <br /> on January 22, 1998. <br /> Mr. Arnold respectively requested the Board grant the opportunity for <br /> Mr. Kleowdis to test for the position. It was noted that Mr. Kleowdis <br /> filed an application with Personnel in August for the position of Police Officer, <br /> but did not receive notice of the Police Officer Open Competitive Exam. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the exam process and related testing <br /> notification procedure. It was noted that Mr. Kleowdis is a resident of <br /> Mashpee, and has performed the duties of Special Police Officer for the <br /> Town of Falmouth while continuing to meet his schedule as a Dispatcher for <br /> the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Selectman Costa recommended the Board consider the application in-house <br /> and support the application date in August as one for the Police Officer Open <br /> Competitive Exam. <br />
