Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 2 <br /> Monday, January 26, 1998 <br /> Approval of Repairs to Wheeler Road: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to place the above topic <br /> as an agenda item of discussion. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Mr. Taylor recommended the Board authorize repairs to Wheeler Road. <br /> All work will be paid for the by the area residents for a sum not to exceed, <br /> $500. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to authorize the repairs to <br /> Wheeler Road as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Renuest of High School Building Committee• Purchase of Video Disc Pldyers� <br /> Correspondence was received from Jim Byron, Clerk of the Works for the <br /> High School Building project relative to an additional equipment purchase. <br /> The building committee voted to recommended the Board authorize the <br /> expenditure of$7,120.00 for eight video disc players for the science labs and <br /> foreign language classrooms. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to defer approval at this time. Mr. Whritenour <br /> was requested to provide a complete break down of available project funds to <br /> the Selectmen for consideration. *Agenda item, next scheduled meeting. <br /> orr ppndence from Habitat for Humanitv7 <br /> Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod has requested the Selectmen consider and <br /> assist the non-profit organization in identifying a piece of town owned land for <br /> Habitat for Humanity. In 1994, land was secured to construct an affordable <br /> home of this type in the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Habitat is financed by donations from individuals, churches, and businesses. <br /> Labor for service projects are provided by Habitat whose goal is to construct <br /> 34 new houses each year in various Cape towns. <br />
