10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 10, 2000 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Correspondence to South Cape Beach Park Advisory Committee: <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to remit correspondence to the <br /> SCBAC and other applicable State Legislators requesting an <br /> expeditious transfer of the ten acres site in the area of Wills Work Road <br /> and Great Oak Road proposed for a boat launch and pier facility. <br /> Status Report for TCE Plume: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Department of the Air Force <br /> dated December 20, 1999 relative to conformance with Town <br /> requirements pertaining to the TCE Plume project. <br /> As noted, the section of Hooppole Road between Highland Street and <br /> Hillside Avenue has been opened on December 3, 1999 as planned. <br /> In addition the AFCEE has taken the opportunity to confirm requirements <br /> as set forth by the Town of Mashpee. <br /> The Board agreed to consult Greg Taylor with respect to this regard, and <br /> remit a letter of appreciation to AFCEE for their efforts while reminding <br /> them that additional monitoring well clusters are anticipated to be located <br /> on the opposite shore of John's Pond. <br /> Three Year Purchase of Electricity Agreement: <br /> Correspondence was received from Joseph Dellagala of the Cape Light <br /> Compact recommending the Board approve the three year agreement with <br /> Exelon Co. for the purchase of electricity. <br /> It was noted that the agreement should be executed by January 21, 2000. <br /> The three year agreement is expected to save the town an estimated <br /> $38,000 in electricity, and additional savings to be determined on <br /> streetlights. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
