9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 24, 2000 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Cable Television Renewal License for Approval and Execution: <br /> Joyce Mason, a member of the Cable Advisory Committee presented the <br /> MediaOne Cable Television license renewal to the Board for approval and <br /> execution. It was noted that the committee worked on the proposal for <br /> approximately 2 '/2 years to develop a good cable package for the <br /> community and its subscribers. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to approve the execute the Cable <br /> Television renewal license with MediaOne as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The Board expressed appreciation to members of the Cable Advisory <br /> Committee for their dedicated efforts. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Presidential Primary Warrant for Approval and Execution: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve and execute <br /> the warrant for the Presidential Primary to be held on <br /> March 7, 2000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> MMR ISSUES: <br /> Selectman Blythe, a member of the Senior Management Team updated the <br /> Board on recent MMR issues. As noted,the AFCEE on January 18, 2000 <br /> has proposed to contribute 100% of the hook-up fees for the Saddleback <br /> Road area. On October 1, 2000, the conversion project is expected to be <br /> completed. The MMR has also agreed to contribute 100% of the fees <br /> associated with the conversion of Tri Town Circle. <br /> Future Agenda topic: Update on the storm drains. It was noted that the <br /> engineering has been completed and is accepted. Presently, funds have <br /> not yet been attained to construct the proposal. <br />
