5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 7, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Harbormaster Review of Mashyee Mooring Policy: <br /> The Harbormaster presented a recommended policy of Mooring Waiting <br /> List Regulations to the Board of Selectmen dated January 27, 2000 for <br /> review and consideration. <br /> It was noted that the policy was developed as a result of reaching <br /> maximum mooring capacity. Approximately 150 residents are presently <br /> on the waiting list for moorings. There are 700 moorings located within <br /> the waters of the town. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to approve the Town of Mashpee <br /> Mooring Waiting List Regulations as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The Board recommended that all mooring bills be distributed and paid <br /> through the Office of the Treasure/Tax Collector. <br /> Town Clerk Request to Place Census Banners at Various Locations in <br /> Town: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Town Clerk dated February 2, <br /> 2000 requesting the Board approve a grant application to fund the <br /> purchase of Census 2000 banners, and also authorize the placement of the <br /> banners at specific business locations within the town. <br /> It was noted that several local businesses have agreed to the sign <br /> placement proposal. The Town Clerk is awaiting response from other <br /> i prospective Mashpee businesses. Additional Census banners are <br /> requested to be placed at Town Hall and the Mashpee Public Library. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the request to seek <br /> grant funding for the purchase of Census 2000 banners, and authorize <br /> the town and business locations as specified in the memorandum of <br /> 2/2/00, and approve the placement of banners in business areas as <br /> deemed appropriate for the period of time the census is listed. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
