q <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Tv mutes <br /> February 7, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Dr. Elizabeth Petti informed the Board that a petition is being <br /> circulated to formulate a Charter Plan. It is necessary to obtain <br /> 1100 signatures by mid-February to place the matter on the May <br /> Election ballot. Dr. Petti requested the Selectmen's support. <br /> In other business, Morgan James Peters requested the Board <br /> support the proposal of the Oversoul Theatre Collective to <br /> reconstruct the former USO building/Town Hall in Heritage <br /> Memorial Park for use as the"Mashpee Art House." <br /> The Board agreed to conduct a site review of the suggested proposal. <br /> The matter will appear as an agenda topic of the Board of Selectmen <br /> on Monday,February 28, 2000. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Harbormaster Request for New Equipment: <br /> The Harbormaster requested the Board support the purchase of the <br /> following equipment to be expended from the Waterways Maintenance <br /> Equipment Account; <br /> 17' Carolina V Skiff $ 5,000.00 <br /> 50 hp 4 stroke outboard $ 3,340.00 <br /> Loadrite boat trailer $ 879.00 <br /> 75 hp 4 stroke mercury $ 4,950.00 <br /> total: $14,169.00 <br /> It was noted that the sum of $17,000 exits in the above referenced account <br /> for said purpose. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to support the above referenced <br /> equipment purchases for the Harbormaster Department to be <br /> expended from the Waterways Maintenance Equipment Account. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
