Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 24, 2000 <br /> Present: Selectman Leveille, Selectman Cahalane, Selectman Taylor, <br /> Selectman Marsters, Selectman Green <br /> Assistant Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Leveille at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room #1. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Pirates Cove resident Edward Sinkiewicz presented pictures of his <br /> area beach devastated by local fishermen. Mr. Sinkiewicz complained of <br /> the shellfish holes, and dead vegetation gathered along the beach. He also <br /> noted that he is disappointed that the Town will not be using the services <br /> of Hale and Dorr when discussion recognition issues with the Native <br /> Americans. <br /> Execution of Amendment to SEMASS Contract: <br /> Board of Health Agent,Elias McQuaid was present to recommend the <br /> Board approve Amendment#2 of the current SEMASS Contract which <br /> would establish a fixed cost of$15.00 per ton to the annual fluctuating <br /> MACT and FAM costs for the remainder of the contract. <br /> It was noted that the Council of SEMASS Communities representatives <br /> from the Town's of Sandwich and Falmouth have recommended the <br /> amendment to their Boards of Selectmen. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve and execute <br /> Amendment#2 of the current SEMASS Contract pending Town <br /> Counsel's review and approval. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Green absent for vote. <br />
