2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 24, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Economic DevelopmentāApproval of Grant Application: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to place the above as an agenda <br /> topic of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Green absent for vote. <br /> Wayne Duchemin,Mashpee's Economic Development Coordinator was <br /> present to request the Board approve the EDIC Pre-Development Initiative <br /> grant application,and initial letter of funding for the project to develop <br /> parcels within the Industrial Park. The one-time grant in the amount of <br /> $35,000 is funded through the Ready Resource Fund Department of <br /> Housing and Community Development. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve and execute the <br /> Economic Development Industrial Corporation Pre-Development <br /> Initiative application through the Massachusetts Community <br /> Development Block Grant Program, and authorize the Chairman of <br /> the Board to submit an initial letter for the project funding as <br /> described. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Green absent for vote. <br /> In addition, the Board agreed to request that Representative Caffyn set <br /> forth an initiative to assist in the passing of necessary legislation. <br />
