7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 9, 2001 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Cape Light Compact: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to adopt the Cape Light Compact <br /> Energy Efficiency Resolution as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Library Discussion: <br /> Helene DeFoe, Librarian was present to discuss the insert contained in the <br /> July 1, 2001 tax bill mailing regarding donations for the Library <br /> Expansion project. The Board of Selectmen was not advised of this prior <br /> to the mailing of the tax bills and Ms. DeFoe did not consult the Board of <br /> Selectmen regarding the donation program proposal. <br /> Ms. DeFoe discussed her actions and apologized for the error in her <br /> judgment. A memorandum dated July 4, 2001 was remitted to the <br /> Selectmen relative to this regard. <br /> A statement regarding the tax bill insert was disclosed for immediate press <br /> release. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to set policy whereby,flyers or <br /> inserts shall not be contained in any Town mailing without prior <br /> approval of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Melanson. Heath&Company: <br /> Correspondence was received from Melanson, Heath& Company auditors <br /> dated July 2, 2001 relative to the transitional audit services to be provided <br /> to the Town relative to the Treasurer/Tax Collector's Office. <br /> Heritage Park Ball Fields: <br /> Project Meeting: July 23, 2001 —2:00 p.m. <br />
