12 <br /> i <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 9, 2001 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> it <br /> Coastal Waste Management—Office Trailer: <br /> Renewal of Landfill Contract: <br /> The Board was in receipt of a request from Coastal Waste Management, <br /> Inc. dated June 25, 2001 relative to the placement of an office trailer on <br /> z, the Mashpee Transfer Station property located on Asher's Path. <br /> In addition, the Selectmen were in receipt of a contractual agreement for <br /> the operation of the Asher's Path Sanitary Landfill and Solid Waste <br /> Transfer Station. <br /> The above referenced agenda topic was deferred at this time. The Board <br /> agreed to invite the management owner, Maurice Cassanelli to attend a <br /> Selectmen's Meeting to discuss the renewal of the Landfill Contract as <br /> well as the issue of the office trailer. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to request of Mr. Cassanelli, his <br /> presence at the Selectmen's Meeting of Monday,July 23,2001. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> MMR ISSUES: <br /> Rerouting Traffic: <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the proposed bypass through the <br /> MMR. The Board with regards to increased traffic and safety voiced <br /> concern. It was noted that the Town of Sandwich is in opposition to the <br /> project proposal. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to remit a strong letter of <br /> objection to the State of Massachusetts,MA DPW against their <br /> proposal to reroute traffic through the MMR <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
